Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she completed primary and secondary school at Saint George School, obtaining the highest honors (Cristobal Tejeda Award in her graduation in 2000), and the International Baccalureate Programme Diploma. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Legal Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2004. She was part of the varsity team in the rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Competition.
She started her working life in the law firm Pellerano & Herrera while she was still attending the university and for several years after graduation in the Foreign Investment Department. She worked with clients whose legal needs were focused on investing in the country, on labor and social security, fiscal subjects, among others. During those years, she actively participated in the drafting of the tax code and the social security law, annotated, and commented, published by the firm, and assisted Dr. Juan Manuel Pellerano Gómez in the publication of manuals entitled Legal Studies on several legal topics.
Later, in 2005, she decided to offer her experience outside of law firms, working from its beginning until its closing, in the Roco Ki (Macao, La Altagracia) foreign capital/tourism project, until she became the head of the Legal Department. She managed all the legal needs of the company in the corporate/societal, contracts, financing, real estate, and permits areas, among others. She was part of the company´s board in the role of secretary and represented the company before sectoral associations, among other functions.
In 2011 she co-founded her private practice, offering legal and consulting services to local and foreign clients, especially in the corporate/societal, real estate, tourism, intellectual property, foreign investments, free zones, securities market, asset organization, family protocols, corporate governance areas, among others. She works with local and foreign firms advising clients in the formation and maintenance of patrimonial and corporate structures.
During its debate and since the promulgation of Law 189-11 on Trusts, she has remained actively studying it, assisting clients in the formation and management of various businesses, using the trust figure, such as management, construction, cultural/philanthropic and heritage trusts.
Throughout her career she has participated in numerous courses, post graduate courses, seminars, and other studies on legal topics and of general interest to her clients. She actively participates in various Legal Committees and/or as a member of Chambers of Commerce of several countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Italy.
For about ten years, she was a member of the Bioethics Committee of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health Research (CENISMI) at the Robert Reid Cabral Hospital. She currently participates in several management and advisory boards of companies in various economic sectors.
She is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian and French.
